Sometimes, grandparents like to be indulgent and might even spoil their grandchildren a little bit. On my dad's last visit to Texas, he took Nate to the dollar store and told him he could choose anything he wanted. Nate came home with bags of such choices, and this is one of his favorites.
Sometimes, moms think that when grandparents let their grandchildren choose toys like these, such toys should live at the grandparents' house. Unfortunately, this car still lives with us. But Nate really loves it.

Windblown
It was very funny trying to take their picture -- they could barely sit up! And their hair isn't messy, just windblown.

Valentine's Day
The week of Valentine's Day was a busy one! We had a party at Nate's school on Tuesday, a party at Christopher's school on Wednesday, and Matt came home from Miami on Wednesday night (bearing flowers, as seen in the previous post).
All this before the ice cream social at the ward on Saturday, but more on that event later ...

Frog Dissection
When Papa & Mana found out that BYU would be playing basketball here in Fort Worth against TCU this weekend, they couldn't resist our invitation to come to Texas and join us at the game. Christopher enjoyed yelling, "Dissect the Frogs!" at the game, and the Cougars did win.
The rest of the weekend was relaxed and fun. Christopher was very impressed by Mana's bowling skills, and Charlie was totally spoiled by Papa and Mana. Nate went to the dollar store with Papa, but I can't post a picture of what he got there, because it's so noisy you might hear it through cyberspace.
But now they've gone home, and we're back to just us chickens again.

Fun Dip
I really liked Fun Dip when I was little, and Christopher loves it now, so he was excited to get Fun Dip valentines for his class this year.As you can see, the first batch of Fun Dip valentines is not going to make it to the intended recipients. I found Nate and Matt on the couch, eating Fun Dip, and watching a show about how Peterbilt trucks are made. This was followed by a show about the Harley-Davidson factory. Clearly, they are both enthralled.
Notice Emme on Matt's lap. She loves him.
